The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Port Vila, museum, market and coffee stall close by. Also convenient to minibuses and helpful in-house tour desk for organising trips further afield. I liked the inclusion of breakfast with a variety of items to choose from, just right, not too much. Our room was well maintained and the daily housekeeping exemplary. All staff were welcoming.

Rooms were 3-4star quality in a Western Setting. Clean and comfortable... pool was very nice. The complimentary breakfast is pastries, toast and spreads, cereals, some fruit, tea & coffee... if you want eggs or hot breakfast that is extra at a reasonable price.

The room was comfortable, the staff members welcoming and very accommodating. The Melanesian Cultural show was great value and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

the staff were so nice and helpful. The bar manager at the oasis was wonderful and also Eric at the door was friendly, helpful, and cheerful. the hotel is comfortable and clean. it was a lovely stay.

Pool. Room. Breakfast included. Friendly staff. Housekeeping. Management were friendly. Got water and power running as soon as possible after the quake. Continued to provide food. Strived to provide in challenging circumstances.

Breakfast was in the restaurant and was an enjoyable start to the day. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and effective air conditioning.The pool was well kept. Every member of staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant has delicious Italian Food.

The Melanesian is located an easy walking distance to the town centre, on the main road and has easy access to town buses. There were many activities available, such as horse riding , snorkelling and kayaking.

The staff was friendly and very helpful (*****) I cannot fault them. They went beyond expectations in organising transport, portering and seeing to our stay being comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and breakfast times catered for the early and the late birds - thank you. The restaurant itself served a variety of dishes so that we didn't have to venture into town if we didn't feel like it. Thank you The Melanesian, we will certainly re-book with you.
